Stages of the general warm up
1. - Initial.
Doing general movements: Walking, Running, jumping, etc. It’s the best way to get our cardiopulmonary system to begin working. You will notice that your heart rate gradually begins to increase.
2. - Intermediate:
To prepare the parts of the body which are going to support more activity. - Joint mobility: means performing different, gentle and repetitive movements with all the joints: neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. - Stretching our muscles: means adopting body positions that lengthen the muscles.
3. – Final activity.
To get ready for the later activity by more intense or stronger activities: games, races, etc…
